Labernism -> Logic (parts I - IV) (poem)
By Luke Labern
I
I let it all out.
I grow it out.
I breathe it
And I live it.
It's not a hobby,
It's not a choice,
An option
Or a possibility.
It's not even
A lifestyle.
It's not even
A life.
II
What I thought was waste
Were simply growing pains.
What I thought was weakness
Was survival of the fittest aims.
Errors became education
When I rejected an
Objective mindset
Not customised at all.
Not sensitive (or
Appropriate to
Me whatsoever)
To my subtleties.
"Reality," it was called.
It will live before
And after me,
But I promise you
That nowhere in me
Does this
Abstract concept
Reside.
III
There is no outside
Perspective: what I do
Is mine alone;
Solipsistic, even.
Bar emotion from
Blinding you any further:
This is the territory
Of reason and logic.
Why would I waste
The few moments
I possess as
A living being
Wasting and spending
Those moments
Listening to
Repugnant opinions?
IV
You commented on
My appearance, so
As to cause
Offence?
I would retort and
Evaluate your character,
But all of that is
Pointless.
You're so inconsequential
To the sequence
And the
Consequence
Of my greater plans
That it would be
Humourous to
Acknowledge you.
Now disappear
Before I
Make
You.
