Suicide and Suicidal Thoughts
This website has a long history of helping people who are suicidal or depressed.

Advice and help
If you would like to discuss depression, especially philosophical depression, nihilism, or suicidal thoughts, I am happy to offer advice. I also recommend that you talk to those around you, think long before you act, and think about the potential for a future in your life: suicide is always the worst possible option.

I fully realise that being told to seek suicide hotlines, etc., while a potentially good short-term solution, are not a good long-term solution for feeling suicidal. If you feel suicidal — as everyone does, some of the time — what you need are answers: to understand your life, your purpose, and your role in the world. My writing, and my work, is centred around precisely this.

This is why I welcome emails on this subject. I am happy to discuss my thoughts on the subject and help steer you towards finding meaning.

In the meantime, please remember: suicide solves nothing — it doesn't reduce pain; it multiples it. Take a breath, take some time, and think about the glorious things this world has to offer. All human beings are interconnected: you cannot take a life without affecting others, and this alone is a reason not to commit suicide. Let others help you. Do not feel embarrassed. Do not hesitate to reach out and ask for help, no matter how many times it takes. Keep going, keep working, and you will eventually find the glory in life that eludes you yet.
